Testimonials

We’ve placed nearly 200 dogs in loving homes since 2023.

Nur Adopted Milo in 2023.

Here is what he had to say about his experience:

“We adopted Milo from Foster Tales 9 months ago, which turned out to be one of the best decisions of our lives!

What truly impressed us throughout the adoption process was Foster Tales' commitment to responsible adoption. Milo's profile provided a detailed and honest description of his background and any known needs. This transparency continued throughout our interaction with Foster Tales.

The first step was a phone call with Courtney to understand our lifestyle and what we were looking for in a dog. She also shared Milo's story as best she could. In a subsequent zoom call with Milo's foster mom Laura, she lovingly shared his personality and quirks. We especially appreciated their transparency around Milo's limitations with alone time and mild food guarding. Knowing this beforehand, and knowing our own situation and limitations, gave us confidence in our decision to adopt. It was clear that both Courtney and Laura wanted to ensure a good match to maximize the chances of a successful adoption.

Living in San Francisco, driving to Bakersfield seemed daunting. Luckily, Courtney offered to meet us halfway! This allowed us to spend quality time with Milo in a relaxed setting, ensuring good chemistry before we took him home.

Working with Foster Tales was an amazing experience. To this day, we stay in touch with both Courtney and Laura, who love receiving photos of our furry family member as he explores the world with us.

There are countless dogs in need, and if you're considering adopting, we wholeheartedly recommend Foster Tales!”

Eunice & Jim Adopted Olive in early 2024.

Here’s what they had to say about her experience:

“Thank you Foster Tales for the wonderful experience of adopting Olive.  We are so grateful to Courtney for rescuing Olive from a kill shelter right before she was scheduled to be euthanized. And we are also very thankful to Alex, Olive's foster mom, for giving her such a caring and loving start to her new life.

Courtney, Alex, and the entire team at Foster Tales went above and beyond to prepare Olive (and us) for a smooth and supportive adoption process. We especially appreciate how thorough they were about providing accurate information about Olive’s personality and temperament, including thoughtful adoption counseling and advice at the outset, to help us get Olive settled successfully in her fur-ever home with her two cat siblings.

Four months in it feels like Olive has always been a part of our family. We love her very much and we thank you Foster Tales for saving her and bringing her into our lives!”

Lucy Loo’s Adoption Day Photo

“Working with Foster Tales was one of the best things we could have done when going through the process of welcoming a new family member into our home.

From the moment we reached out, Courtney was helpful and transparent about Lucy Loo and her needs. Throughout the adoption process, we felt supported and educated on the very big step we were taking to adopt Lucy Loo. Despite her difficult start in life, Foster Tales saw her immense potential and gave her the environment to transition into her permanent home.

When we picked Lucy Loo up we were prepared for anything thanks to Courtney and our adoption counselor. Thankfully, we didn't need much of it as she was perfectly well mannered, has still never had an accident in the house to this day, and continues to thrive and settle into her new city life beyond our wildest expectations.

We cannot commend Foster Tale's organizational teamwork and commitment to successful transition from foster homes to forever homes enough! Their impact is soon to be broadened to the wider community as Lucy Loo is currently in training for a volunteer pet therapy program at the children's hospital where one of her parents works.”
